Today I am sharing more DIY projects from our awesome wedding! I cannot believe tomorrow is 3 months since we got married. Life does not seem to be slowing down.
Of course, I had to have something pretty to hold our card goodies! The funny thing is that the plain old card boxes at Michael's were like 20 bucks. I bought this unfinished box from Michael's for $14.95 with a 40% coupon and the letter K for like a dollar. Painted it with Behr - Ionic Sky that I already had.
B even secured {necklace} chain from Michael's to keep the box lid from falling open too far. And he used the aqua and white baker's twine that has been used in everything from our invitations to our favors to make the "CARDS" banner.
The wooden letters are also from Michael's. B looped the twine through the pre-drilled holes on the letters and spaced them out accordingly. I married an incredibly crafty, handy man! So lucky! He was such a good helper with all the wedding DIY projects. I most certainly would not have been able to complete my long list of ideas without him and his ingenuity.
I love our personalized, custom pretty card box!
Now, after the wedding, it holds the wedding related cards.
Eventually, I will repurpose it.
What crafts have you made lately? Anybody planning a DIY wedding?
