I have been MIA on the blog lately. Our internet has been acting up so it has been hard for me to get on, finish posts and upload pictures. I have also had a crazy busy work schedule. I was able to make 100% productivity meaning I saw all my clients for every session over the last four weeks. That.does.not.happen...usually. I'm exhausted to say the least. ANYWAY!
I wanted to recap May so far. This has been a crazy busy month with The Color Run, Mother's Day, an engagement party as well as B & I hanging out with our friends who came to town this month. It's been a fun month so far and some pretty special things are coming up!
This week is B & I's seven year dating anniversary, my one year work anniversary AND my one year blogiversary!! LOVE!

More colorful photos from The Color Run! See post here.
Brian & I celebrated our friend, Mat's birthday with a beach day on Jupiter Island. There was a branch covered in bottle caps. It looked neat...so I took a picture ;) You can also see the Jupiter Lighthouse in the distance.
We find it hilarious to dress Lola up. This month it was my sweat band. Her reward for letting us put this on her was chewing on it and shaking it side to side as it whacked her in the face. Silly pup!
Christmas in May? About two years ago I bought a felt tree skirt kit. I knew it would take a year or so to put together because it is all hand stitched. Well, then we got engaged and I went into wedding crafting mode. I am absolutely determined to have it done by this Christmas. I'm pretty proud because since I took this picture earlier in May, I have actually done all these gingerbread except put the white "frosting" on them. Feeling accomplished! And hungry. LOL
Yay for yoga! One of the directors at my job does a free yoga class once a week. Luckily, my job is big on self care because burnout is huge for community mental health professionals. I was SO unbelievably sore the next few days because I have not done yoga in too long. I'd love to get back into it. How do you unwind and relax? I'm also doing a mindfulness training which I will talk more about when I'm done with it.
Bella is so funny when it comes to toys! The poor girl doesn't get many toys because we can't have chihuahua size toys with Lola, the 50lb mutt who eats everything. However, I was at my mom's a couple months ago and Bella starts playing with my mom's dog's toys that were about the size of Bella. She was having a ball. I decided I had to get her big toy. I recently picked up Lamb Chop and this was one of the first time she played with it.
This was Mother's Day at B's mom's house. I made Cinnamon Roll Waffles while B and his brother did work around her house. It was a beautiful day and nice to spend time with the fam. My mom is a Jehovah's Witness and has been since I was a baby so I've never celebrated with my mom. Ironically, last year my mom and I spent it together going shopping for my mom's dress for the wedding. We laughed because we couldn't remember the last Mother's Day we had actually spent together. Re-reading this makes it sound like a sad thing but it's really not. I'm close with my mom and we spend plenty of other days together hanging out.
Thanks for reading & I hope you have a great week! I plan on sharing the homemade laundry detergent recipe and what we think of it this week!
