Dear Brian: Today's an exciting day. I hope we hear good news. Fingers-crossed. Tubs so, so much! Dear Weekend: I'm SO ready for you. Unfortunately, I will have to work some but man, I just live for the weekends some weeks. How about you? Dear Job: It's official, last Tuesday was my one year workiversary! It falls on the same day as our dating anniversary so it's easy to remember. I honestly cannot believe I've been out of school and in my professional career for a whole year. There is a really high turn over rate in community mental health. It's a stressful job. People dump their heaviest crap on you and then you have to be able to process it with them. I don't know if it's everywhere but when I started at my job they said that the hardest part is making it the first year. If you can make it a year then you have a better chance of surviving this job. I'm not going to sugar coat it, there have been times where I was saying to myself, just make it a year. Luckily, I'm in one of my positive, optimist zones because I'm doing good. The job has by no means gotten easier, I recently had one of my scariest days yet but I've grown a thicker skin and learned SO much professionally and personally this year. I'm really, really proud of all that I've accomplished. Dear 10 Year High School Reunion: You are ONE week away! Wow! It seems like it just flew by. I am looking forward to socializing face to face with my Facebook friends. It's weird because before social media came along, reunions were a mystery but now, I am up to date with the people I want to be up to date with. And if I'm being honest, I predict me and my bestie hanging out with our husbands in our own little world. High school in a nutshell. LOL It's going to be fun nonetheless. Dear Husband: 175 days of wedded bliss, Love! June 1st will be 6 months. Here's to half a year of mawwiage. We should probably finish looking at our wedding photos. LOL
