First Blogiversary

Today is my blog's first blogiversary!

I cannot believe I started this blog a whole year ago.I have learned so much about blogging this past year. I loved reading other blogs about recipes, projects, weddings, babies, etc. I thought it would be fun to have a place to document my life. I love the idea about being able to have a place to remember the trips I've taken, traditions I've started, life at a certain age, recipes and projects I've done. Once I started I realized how massive the blogging community is and that blogging is not as easy as I thought it looked. Ideas don't just materialize all the time. Blogging is a lot of hard work but I'm having so much fun doing it. As much as I'm doing this for me, it makes me so happy to hear my friends say to me that they love reading my blog, what I'm doing or better yet, have tried something I posted. Blogging, for me, is also about social interactions and sharing. I've learned so much from others about blog design, projects, products, recipes and life. I hope that even just one person has learned something from here. 

I still struggle with finding the time I would like to dedicate to this blog. It's a weird balance between living my life and documenting my life at the same time. I have definitely not found that balance. I admire people who blog 5 times a week and work on top of it. Every once in awhile I hit a stride where I can get a few posts in and then the next week, nothing.

It's been a fun year. The blog went through a name change from Becoming Mrs. Ashley Kozell to Newly Kozell. I checked today and I've published 107 posts including this one. I have 13 drafts of topics I am working on right now. I've also had over 5700 pageviews. Now when I look at the bloggers that I admire, that's like their daily or weeks visits but that's so crazy and cool to me!

I cannot wait to see what I can accomplish this next year. Thank you so much for following along, trying out my suggestions and commenting. It means more to me than you will ever know!
