Happy Memorial Day Y'all!!!

I hope you are lucky enough to be enjoying a 3-day weekend so take a few minutes {or more} to remember why we relaxing today. I like that saying that we are the home of the free because of the brave. Me and my Hubby are having a relaxing day at home after a busy weekend with family. Why is it that the weekend always flies right by?! I am thankful for the past 3 days of no work and only a 4 day work week coming up.

I brought out my Starfish Flag Wreath I made for the 4th of July last year. I never did a post of how I made it. The most complicated part was measuring out for the stripes. My Hubby helped me with that since I'm the creativity and he's the mathematician! You need a styrofoam wreath, yarn, hot glue and 3 starfish. I am very detail-oriented about random things, especially when it comes to my crafting. Such as my flag wreath has 13 stripes just like our flag with 7 red and 6 white. I'm telling y'all details are important! LOL

This weekend I made a Patriotic Garland for our living room. I decided to again, design it after our flag so it has 13 stripes just like I did on the wreath. See, detail-oriented! I like how it turned out. You could also do a repeating pattern of red, white, blue which would look very patriotic as well. It already feels like summer so this weekend I updated our chalkboard with something to get us into the summer state of mind.
