Happy Hump Day, Y'all!
I am so excited to share this DIY project with you. This is definitely something you are going to want to make this holiday season or year-round as I plan to do. This garland is SO easy to make and very affordable. I bought all my yarn at Michael's for around $3.00 a bundle. I have more than half of all my colors left over... oh, the garlands I can make with all that yarn! How perfect is this garland hanging above our sofa?! For fall I chose a burnt orange, charcoal, cream with a hint of gold and an aqua/mint. As you can tell from these pictures, following my blog or if you just know me then you know how much I love aqua/mint. I try to add it into my designs. Enjoy the pictures and tutorial link below.
If you are on Pinterest or Etsy {and let's face, who isn't?} then you have seen all kinds of colorful garlands. I have been wanting one {or twenty} but with how expensive they are I could not decide which holiday or color scheme I should choose. I saw a yarn garland on a blog I read regularly called Wifessionals. Her tutorial is great, easy and straightforward with pictures for visual people like myself. You can find it here. One of the great things about the yarn garland is you do not have to worry about it getting crumpled or torn in storage like a paper garland could. And like I mentioned, it is affordable. I plan on making one for every holiday, an everyday in between holiday garland and maybe a just because it is Tuesday garland. So go, run to your nearest arts and crafts store and please send me a photo if you make a yarn garland. I love sharing a good DIY project!
I apologize for the iphone quality pictures and they were taken at night. I was going to try for better pictures this morning and of course, it was overcast.
