Happy Turkey Month!
This might just be my favorite month of the year or at least top 3 with September for my birthday and December for our anniversary and Christmas! Today I am sharing some favorite Thanksgiving recipes that have become a Kozell tradition. I love making traditions with my hubby!!!!!!! This is our first Thanksgiving as a married couple. My first Thanksgiving as Ashley Kozell. Not to mention that last year our wedding was like 9 days after Thanksgiving so there were no second helpings of all the wonderfully delicious food!
A couple of years ago, B and I found some great recipes for Thanksgiving. Living in a townhouse, we have a tiny kitchen so making a giant feast isn't really an option. We used to watch a show called Five Ingredient Fix on Food Network. Just like it sounds, all the recipes are five ingredients or less. How great is that?! We found a great recipe for Roasted Turkey Breast with Gravy

and Cornbread Dressing

We have made these recipes at least 4 times so I am confident in recommending them! The turkey is moist and the gravy comes out just right, every single time. I enjoy sharing good finds and these are great finds. I would eat these year round but then I would be round - Har Har! Plus, it keeps the recipes kind of special to save them for November and December.
I have also made this recipe for cranberry sauce. I like that this recipe has orange juice to add flavor. I did not like cranberry sauce growing up but as I have gotten older I really like fresh cranberry sauce. None of that canned crap! This year I think I am going to branch out and combine this recipe and this recipe since one has brown sugar and the other has cinnamon and both sound like they would make delicious sauce. I will share my concoction if it is any good ;)
Sour Cream Rolls
1 cup sour cream
1 stick melted butter
1 cup self rising flour
Pour batter in a 24 count mini muffin pan.
Bake at 450 degrees for approximately 15 minutes. I normally check after 12 minutes. Obviously, ovens do vary. These are a hit every.single.time. You're welcome!
As far as pumpkin pie goes, I am a traditionalist. I buy Libby's 100% pure pumpkin, NOT pumpkin pie filling. I think it tastes so much better to add the spices and what not myself. This year I would like to make a Maple Pumpkin Pie. I am still scoping out recipes :)

A couple of years ago, my former stepmom, Lauren shared a recipe for Sour Cream Rolls. The ones I found online call for two cups of self rising flour however the recipe I use only calls for one. Here's Paula Deen's recipe which is pictured above. Here's the super easy recipe I use:Sour Cream Rolls
