I have been SO bad about taking my weekly picture for two weeks now. The only photo I took last week was of me sitting in the nursery chair. I am determined to get back on track tomorrow when I am officially 30 weeks. A couple of months ago now I went to PF Changs with Bri, his dad, dad's girlfriend MJ and Bri's brother Bobby after a day of working at the house and at the end of the meal we opened fortune cookies. You know, just for fun because those things are bogus...or are they?! We couldn't believe how spot on my fortune was. On top of that, the first lucky number is 25 which is our due date, March 25, 2015 as well as we found out we were pregnant on July 25, 2014 AND we found out we were having a BOY on September 25, 2014. And the second number is 15 for 2015, perhaps?Kind of weird and neat all at the same time, right? I am sure it was just a pure coincidence but it made us smile and the fortune is up on our fridge in a sea of ultrasound pictures.
How far along: 29 weeks...I've been enjoying the last week in my twenties {weeks that is!} How am I already going to be 30 weeks tomorrow?
Gender: Boy!
Baby size: A large eggplant {approximately 16 inches}...according to the baby apps, he is almost as long as he will be at birth but he will still double if not triple his weight in the next 10 weeks.
Total weight gain/loss: 17 lbs
Maternity clothes: I am already thinking about how I am going to miss my maternity clothes. They are so stretchy and comfy. I love it!
Stretch marks: So far so good!
Sleep: Goodness gracious great balls of fire! What the heck am I talking about you ask? I wake up sweating every.single.morning lately which is funny because I'm usually cold even when it is 80 degrees out. Now I'm usually hot which is apparently due to my surging hormones ;)
Best moment this week: It was great hearing Baby Boy's heartbeat at our appointment on Monday, January 5, 2015. It had been about a month which is the longest we've gone since our month long gap between week 12 and week 16. While I wouldn't wish being considered semi-high risk on anybody, we have been grateful to have had so many visits with our baby boy. Oh! I passed my glucose test! Yay! No gestational diabetes for me. Brian and I might have high-fived in the exam room.
Miss anything: Would I love to enjoy a nice pinot noir right now? Sure. But I actually love being pregnant. I know I am going to miss it which makes me appreciate it that much more. I love watching my body change as it is growing this precious life even when I am insecure and ask Bri if I look pregnant from behind :) I LOVE feeling him move. I feel really good most of the time and while I am noticing myself getting tired easier and more achy, it is all worth it. Especially as I watch Bri kiss and rub my belly and talk to Baby K. Melts my heart every day. So, I will wait a few more months with no pinot or goat cheese or sushi. ;)
Movement: I woke up to use the bathroom at 5:20am on Saturday morning {1/10/15} and he was moving all around. I stopped counting his movements when I got up to 20 in a matter of minutes. It puts the biggest smile on my face and makes me think, is he having all kinds of dance parties while I sleep on the regular?
Food cravings: I've noticed a trend in smoothies and potato chips from Tropical Smoothie. My most recent order went like this "I'd like the Island Green smoothie with soy protein. Oh, and a bag of salt & vinegar chips. You know, to cancel each other out." The counter girl laughed
Labor signs: No
Belly button in or out: It's so teeny tiny and cute. As cute as a grown woman's belly button can be.
Wedding rings on or off: Still mostly on
Mood: If you can't already tell from the tone of this week's bumpdate, I'm in a pretty darn good mood. Mostly of the time, of course.
Looking forward to: My baby shower is less than 3 weeks away! {Things are getting real people!} I am SOOOO excited to see my closest friends and family. We have been so busy with the house and the holidays so I feel like I haven't seen most of my friends in months.
Once again, I am almost a week off as I will be 30 weeks tomorrow, January 14th. Hopefully I can get it together this week so I can share a sneak peek of my nursery ideas with my inspiration board.
