21 Weeks Bump Update

How far along: 21 amazing weeks! {+2 days}
Gender: Snips and snails and puppy dog tails! That's what little boy{s} are made of ;)
Baby size: 10.5 inches or the size of a pomegranate or carrot depending on the baby app.
Total weight gain/loss: 7 lbs. My doctor said my weight is good so that makes me happy...let's see what they say after Thanksgiving ;)
Maternity clothes: Waiting on my Gap maternity jeans to arrive as well as some super cute cardigans from Pink Blush Maternity. I hope I got the sizing right. It is hard buying online for me normally but supposedly the sizing is the same as your non-maternity clothes. Unfortunately for me, I can be a small in one thing and large in another. Oh, and I ordered some maternity thongs...if you're into that sort of thing ;) One of the baby apps suggested buying maternity underwear like bikini underwear. It also said you could buy thongs, if you're into that sort of thing. Like thong undies are like this fetish thing. It made me and my hubby laugh so I thought I would share it here to remember. It has sort of become joke around the house now...if you're into that sort of thing!
Stretch marks: No, let's keep that up. Okay, body? Good!
Sleep: Apparently, I snore according to Bri which is a symptom of pregnancy although I have been snoring way longer than I have been pregnant ;) Also, even with my pregnancy pillow I seem to find my way to sleeping on my back which isn't good but hopefully I will get more used to sleeping on my side. At least I am elevated because I wind up sleeping on top of the Bump Nest. Apparently, I am stubborn in my sleep.
Best moment this week: Our bi-weekly visit with baby boy last Friday, November 7th. It is really so amazing what you can see during ultrasounds not that I know what half the things are. I think I can speak for my hubby too when I say there is nothing better than hearing his heartbeat, seeing him moving on the screen and hearing from the doctors and techs that everything looks normal and healthy. We elected to get some genetic testing done during the first trimester including a nuchal translucency ultrasound, panorama blood test {which is how we found out the gender at 14 weeks} and InheriGen plus blood test. They look for things like down syndrome and recessive gene issues. We met with the perinatal doctor Friday who confirmed that everything came back looking great. {Sigh of relief} I never knew how much you could worry about before the baby is even born.
Miss anything: Not so much the last few days. I did find out from my doctor that as long as I order hot, good quality brie cheese then I can eat it. I see a BBQ Chicken Flatbread from Food Shack in my near future! And maybe some brie in a puffed pastry with some pears. Mouth officially watering!
Movement: Yes but still sporadic which the doctor said to expect that for a few more weeks before it becomes more regular. I definitely notice I feel the movements most often in the morning, laying in bed or late at night. I cannot wait to see Bri's face the first time he feels our baby move!
Food cravings: Ha! See "miss anything" above ;)
Anything making you queasy or sick: No but everything makes me tired.
Have you started to show yet: Once again, another joke Bri and I have had on repeat lately. We like to laugh if you haven't noticed. "I've been working on this six pack all summer. Baby got front!" - Grown Ups
Terrible quality but still hilarious! Play below.

Labor signs: No
Belly button in or out: In but seems like it is getting shallower every day. So weird!
Wedding rings on or off: On
Mood: Happy as a clam! I know that is a saying but really, how happy is a clam?!
Looking forward to: So many things! Like last week - still looking forward to picking out a name and decorating his nursery! I try to keep these answers baby related but I am also really looking forward to seeing my bestie, Ashley for Thanksgiving since it will be the first time I have seen her since I told her in person I was pregnant in August {how has that much time passed?!} Also, I cannot wait for both Thanksgiving {my favorite holiday} and Leftovers Lunch at Lauren's {it's tradition!}. AND we officially have our tickets booked for Christmas in Sunriver, Oregon. I could cry {darn, hormones!} with excitement just thinking about seeing my family. Bri and I LOVE Sunriver. It is truly magical. I wish I could bottle it up and put it in a snow globe. We haven't been there with our fam for Christmas since 2011, the year before we got married. It has been too long. It makes my heart smile just thinking about the Christmases we are going to enjoy there with our son for years to come. It will be so special being there this year with him in my belly. I'll be almost 7 months at that point - what?!

I am almost done typing up a post on how Bri and I found out we are having a boy. I am hoping to post it tomorrow so be on the look out!
