Hello Friends!
I thought it would be fun to share items that I think any lady would love to receive on Valentine's Day. How cute would a gift basket of candles, lotion, soap, lip balm, a feminine nightie and delicious dark chocolate?!
Brian actually gave me the Anthropologie apron for Valentine's Day 2012. I am obsessed with lip balm. Seriously, I have lip balm all over the house because let's be honest, you never know when you might have a lip balm emergency ;) A few months ago, I tried EOS balm and I am hooked. I love the Sweet Mint flavor which I'll admit I picked more based on the package color than the flavor but it is refreshing. I plan on trying Strawberry Sorbet next. Have you tried EOS products? If there is anything that I urge you to run out and buy it would be the Cinnamon Sugared Doughnut Candle from Bath & Body Works. Hubs & I picked up the candle last week and we have already almost finished the 3-wick candle which I have never done so quickly. It smells ah-mazing!
For Christmas, my Mother-in-law bought her sons lucky ladies gifts from Tiffany & Co. I know, how sweet and generous is she? I am so grateful for her...and not just because she buys me things in little blue boxes! ;) I ended up trading in my gift for the Elsa Peretti Letter Pendant in a K for my last name ;) I have been eying that necklace since the moment Bri asked me to marry him. Okay, fine...for several years before he has asked!!! But now I could finally get it! I love it. I don't know about you but I am obsessed with monograms and my married initials. I would plaster K's all over the walls if I could...There are at least 6 K's in the house as we speak. Long story short...when you have a last name that has been made fun of since elementary school, you tend to embrace your married name like it is a gift or something. Don't judge me and my slightly neurotic obsession with my initials ;)
I have been enjoying Honest products for pretty much as long as they have been making them and I cannot wait to have a baby to use all of those products as well. For now, I stick to the body & cleaning products! If you are not familiar with them, check the site out. For Christmas, my Dad and Teresa gave me The Honest Life book by Jessica Alba. I am all over the healthy living and safe products bandwagon, much to Brian's dismay. ;) I am also a sucker for all things macaron. I requested them at my bridal shower, I have a favor shop I buy them from when I am in Winter Park visiting my bestie, my brother-in-law and sister-in-law gave me a macaron making kit. Macarons are definitely trending right now but I swear I have been loving them before it became cool to do so. LOL. And last but not least, I love stripes and the nightie I shared is just sweet and feminine and screamed valentine's to me.
I hope you enjoyed my gift guide. Let me know if you buy any of these items and what you think of them. I love reading other bloggers guides. I thought it would be fun to make one and who knows, maybe I'll come across this one day and say, "Wow, I actually used to like that?!"
I am still putting together my guide for the man in your life so check back...hopefully I'll have it up tomorrow, Friday at the latest.
AMK
