I'm so happy to start getting back to myself and that includes blogging. I really have missed this. I'm crossing my fingers, toes and any other body part that can be crossed that I pass my licensing exam. If I don't, I'm planning on taking it in November. The 2+ months have been brutal due to a mix of studying for my exam the biggest test of my life, transitioning into a new position at work, home buying stress, rental stress and health issues. It's been a long summer to say the least.
Our summer {after the 4th of July} in pictures...
We've been having lots of fun in between all the stress and day to day life. We love going to the monthly food truck event in our area. I haven't missed one yet and they started in January. If you've never been to an event before, find one and go. Now. There is such a thing as good and bad events. The one we go to usually has on average 25 trucks. I have also been loving Target and their dress selection. It has been a hot summer and a cute dress helps beat the summer heat! I'm pretty low maintenance in the clothing department so it's nice to just throw on a dress and instantly look done up. You may have also noticed me in my wedding dress. This weekend I decided it would be fun to put on my dress and twirl around! I have been debating whether or not to keep my dress because really, what am I ever going to do with it? Put it in a box and store it in a closet? I never once asked my mom to see her wedding dress so what are the chances my future children will want to see my dress...I really don't know what to do about my dress. It's huge. But I will say, I absolutely loved putting it on again. Bri & I had a great laugh.
I took a tons of picture of the fur babes. I'm thinking of making t-shirts with sweet pictures of the girls so that our neighbors know that they are actually very sweet dogs while they are barking profusely at them. Lola is very convincing with her "I'm going to kill you" bark. I'm only sort of kidding about the t-shirts.
I captured some amazing sunsets and one full moon while taking a walk with Lola. I have to give major credit to the Hubs because he drove me to the top of a parking garage and helped me find the best spots to get great pictures. #nofilter :)
Of course, I drank a lot of Harney & Sons tea and ate a lot of yummy food. This foodie is obsessed with taking pictures of her food. Husband is an amazing cook. I lucked out. I've even been able to make some amazing pumpkin muffins with homemade cream cheese frosting and pesto pepperoni pizza among other things. I also recommend you check out Alaina's Bake Shoppe & Cafe where we get delicious sandwiches like you can see in the bottom pictures above.
September holds a lot of wonderful things. The 1st of the month is 9 months since we became Husband and Wife which also means we'll be celebrating our first wedding anniversary in 3 short months. It's so exciting! You're suppose to give paper for the first one, right?
We are going to my brother's wedding in Oregon. We have not seen our Oregon family in 9 months, since our wedding. We miss them dearly. I am really looking forward to some quality time with the fam and welcoming Bree into the craziness that is the May/Blubaugh/Kozell families.
September also happens to be my birthday month. I will be turning 29 on the 21st. I'm actually more okay with turning 29 then I was turning 26. Although, I cannot believe I will be in the last year of my twenties. It's wild. I do not feel old enough to be 29. I certainly don't look it! LOL
Lastly, even though it really doesn't feel like it in Florida...the day after my birthday means it's officially fall. Yay for fall!
So much to look forward to this month. I can't wait to get back into blogging!
Happy September!
