Stop and smell the peonies

Hello friends...

Long time, no blog. LOL.

I am taking my licensing exam in less than a week. Monday to be exact. I have been studying like crazy. My brain is tired. I am SO ready to get this test over with and SO nervous that I won't pass. I'm sure I've said it before but this exam has a 50% pass rate...in case you are bad at math, that's a 50% fail rate too. LOL. I have been mentally preparing myself to not have a full on mental break down if I do not pass. I'm trying to be optimistic but realistic as well. If I don't pass, I'm not a failure. This is a really, really hard exam. The amount of information you have to be able to recall is unbelievable.

I thought the above image I created was appropriate in this time of stress for me. I saw the saying on Pinterest and like everyone it seems, I love me some peonies. I took an image I snapped of some beautiful peonies I had picked up at Whole Foods a couple months ago and added the fun saying. Being an amateur, I am very happy with the result.

I plan on printing it out and hanging it up in my office at work. Oh yeah, I have an office. As I transition into my new position, I have only been in the office two days a week for the last month. By late September, I will be fully transitioned into my new position and enjoying an office of my own. After more than a year of driving daily to sometimes as many as 8 or 9 places in one day, I am more than looking forward to being in one place. I'm sure I will miss the flexibility of being an outpatient therapist but my car needs a break (hello 65,000 miles in 3 years!) and our wallet will appreciate a lower gas bill.

I have been making a list of some of my favorite sayings to make up a fun gallery wall. I am really looking forward to seeing it come together. But for now, I study.

I cannot wait to get back to blogging, baking, cooking and crafting.
