Weekend Recap: 4th of July Weekend

Hello lovely friends! How was your weekend? Did you get a long weekend with the 4th of July holiday and all? I had an awesome 4th of July spent with my family and celebrating my mother-in-law's birthday. Read a little about it here.

Friday, I saw 1 client and did a massive amount of paperwork. If you're new around here, I'm a Family Therapist and I work in community mental health. I completed 6 treatment plans and reviews which is A LOT. In the middle of a very long work day on Friday, Husband and I met up with my brother-in-law and his lovely lady to go see World War Z. Awesome movie! I actually liked it more than I thought I would. I'm not into scary, horror movies but I love suspenseful, thrillers and this movie definitely satisfies. It's based off of a book but apparently does not follow the book very much so I might attempt to read the book one of these days. I am such a book worm so I have a list a mile long of book I want to read. Get in line, World War Z. We got home after the movie and I went back to work...until almost 2 a.m. I know, crazy. But I was in the zone and accomplished SO much.

Saturday, we had a pretty relaxing day. I cleaned and organized the house in an attempt to procrastinate from studying for my licensing exam. You can bet that if I'm cleaning, it's because I'm procrastinating. LOL To become a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist I have to take a national exam. It's got a 50% pass rate. No big deal. Cue freak out!

Sunday Funday!

I had a busy day and ended up in bed, reading a book by 9pm. Old lady.

Bright and early, I had a study sesh with a friend I went to school with and now we're study buddies. It definitely helps to have some motivation because now that I've been out of school for over a year. It's hard to start studying again.

I spent the afternoon with one of my closest friends, who just moved back to town. She was in my wedding and I'm SO happy to have her back home! We went to the movies and saw The Bling Ring. It was pretty good. It is based on a true story about a group of people who broke into celebrity houses. It was interesting to see how they did it and makes me wonder how accurate the movie is with reality. Awhile back, I had watched the reality show about one of the girls charged called Pretty Wild. Anybody else see The Bling Ring?

As always, the weekend goes by way too quickly. I was so exhausted that I went to bed early on Sunday.

Now it's Monday night and I got some very good news today however I'm going to have to leave you in suspense until everything gets figured out. And no, I'm not pregnant. LOL

Here's what my nights will look like for the next 2 months...
