Ta-Da!
So I wouldn't consider myself a bridezilla however I have some pretty detail-oriented OCD tendencies when it comes to our wedding. I LOVE to plan as many personalized details as possible to make it feel like our day and let our friends and family know how much they mean to us. What does that have to do with my hair? Well, I have been growing my hair out since before we got engaged because I love my long hair. My intention was to literally cut my hair depending on what 'the dress' called for. See, I told you I'm detail-oriented, not bridezilla! LOL Fast-forward to my dress fitting and well, my hair exceeded my expectations...by about SEVEN inches. My wedding dress is g.o.r.g.e.o.u.s. It has pretty details that I want to show of and not hide behind my curtain of blonde hair. I cannot tell you how much I have been laughed at about this whole cutting my hair for my dress idea. The alteration woman laughed at me as my mom measured my hair with a ruler at my first fitting. So although I had scheduled my haircut days ago in preparation I was still nervous but I did it! I cut seven whole inches and I love it. I wish someone could wash & blow out my hair everyday because look how full it is. Again, the hair stylist laughed at me when I pull a RULER out of my purse to make sure she cut the right amount off.
{Detail-oriented...OCD...bridezilla-check! LOL}
I am super excited to see what it looks like with my dress at my second fitting next week. To top it all off, I'm having my hair and make-up trial the same day so I will actually get to see the whole look put together. Told you...detail-oriented. Okay, OCD!
The cherry on top of my awesome evening {which also included a cake tasting for our Groom's Cake} was when one of the lady's at the salon complimented me on my shiny blonde hair and she can't believe it is natural because apparently blonde hair isn't shiny?! I don't really know but I will take a compliment when it is given. To think when I was little I would have dyed my hair purple just to get rid of the blonde and now love it. Since I was a little girl I've been told by hair stylists that I'm so lucky and people pay hundreds of dollars to get my color...but they don't understand what it is like to have no blonde eyebrows-HA!
