We got a lot of wedding related things done this weekend including:
- Wedding invitations ordered
- Cake Topper received
- Worked on "Welcome Bags" for out-of-towners
- Worked on table numbers
- Typed up a preliminary seating chart
- Brian is 99.9% done with his top secret project...(I plan to blog about it this week or next.)
Along with all of that we managed to eat some delicious food & have a play sesh with the pups! Take a peak at our weekend!
On Saturday Brian & I went to check out my friend's new bakery and cafe, Alaina's Bake Shoppe & Cafe. She was having a soft opening and had a sampling of some of the sweet treats she will be serving. It was more than I could have imagined! She makes everything from morning buns, crumb cakes, cookies and the main attraction-cupcakes! As soon as Brian heard "bacon" he was sold on the French Toast with Bacon Cupcake. Sounds funny, tastes delicious...especially for breakfast, which is when we ate it. Ha! We took home an Oreo Cupcake and had it today. I cannot say enough good things. We will definitely be going back and I hope you will too.
Don't they look amazing?!
For lunch on Saturday we went to our FAVORITE restaurant, Food Shack! We could eat here night and day for the rest of our lives and never get tired of it. We love this place so much that we are 99.9% sure we are having them cater our rehearsal dinner. We could not be more excited about that. We are such foodies that it was important to us to incorporate our favorite restaurant into our "Wedding Weekend." LOL Brian LOVES a dish called an Indoroni but he does it his own special way (it normally comes with chicken) which lately has been adding Tandori Tuna. Tandori is a sweet spice. It makes everything delicious-chicken, scallops, shrimp, fish. The tuna must be rare..there is simply no other way to eat it! The Indoroni is described like adult mac & cheese. It has garlic, onions & a sweet chili sauce with a combination of cheeses. I have a few regular favorites including BBQ Chicken Flatbread with melted brie & fried sweet plantains (O-M-G!) or the Butternut(encrusted) Mahi. Saturday I felt like trying something new so I got the West Indies Seafood Bowl. It had mussels, shrimp, calamari and fish in a sweet potato & coconut broth! Take a look...

Saturday afternoon we had an impromptu trip to Brian's mom's house and we had just picked up the dogs so we decided to let them run around in the backyard. This trip ended up with Brian getting in the pool with Lola & me getting some great pictures! I feel like I should preface this with Lola & Bella had been at daycare for 5 hours. Most dogs would be exhausted right? Not Lola! Lola puts Marley from the book/movie Marley & Me to shame. She is crazy I tell you. After 5 hours of playing at daycare she proceeded to play almost 2 hours of fetch outside! So of course when we got home we thought she'd just collapse...wrong! She didn't stop until about 11pm Saturday night. Crazy dog! Here's how our afternoon went:
Bella sunbathing!
Smile, Bella!

I'm freeeeeee to run!
Hi Mom! I'm coming to get you!
This is my favorite of the day! Love!
And that brings us to Sunday! For the most part we just ran errands and hung out but we started our day with a cuddle sesh & a yummy breakfast.
How cute are they?!
Parmesan Scrabbled Eggs w/Honey Butter Pillsbury Biscuits & Maple Sausage...mmmhmm!
What a great weekend! Who's ready for another week of work? Not this girl! LOL
