What I Am Reading...

I'm a book worm and proud of it! :) I dream of the library I will have in our house one day. Ya know, when we actually have a house. I found James Patterson my sophomore year of high school and for years, I mean YEARS, I read his book exclusively. If you haven't read his book, the Alex Cross series is amazing. I love reading series because I never want to say goodbye to characters after 300 pages. If you are the same way, you are in luck because the Alex Cross series has 15+ books. I can talk about Alex Cross and his family like they are old friends {{Is that weird? LOL}} I also recommend The Women's Murder Club. Both of those series are about detectives and solving crimes. If that is not your thing then I recommend Suzanne's Diary For Nicholas, Sunday's At Tiffany's and Sam's Letters To Jennifer.  He has books for kids and teens too. James Patterson is definitely one of my all time favorite writers.
I've read everything from Nicholas Sparks to Candace Bushnell to Lauren Conrad {{Don't judge, her books are fun, light reads!}} Of course, I have also read Twilight and Hunger Games and loved both series. And this brings me to the latest book I've read...yes...I jumped on the bandwagon and bought Fifty Shades of Grey.
Actually, I bought it back in March to start reading in April when I finished school. Books as rewards = book worm. I didn't end up starting it until May...& I didn't finish it until this morning. I don't think it has ever taken me this long to finish a book. Now I have been busy with work so I was basically reading 2 or 3 pages before bed, not every night. I'm going to be completely honest, I was not that into it. I have a thing where if I start a book I have to finish the book so I stuck with it. I guess it is just not a genre I am interested in. I love a good story, interesting characters and suspense. Apparently, I do not like reading about BDSM {{LOL}} When I first bought the book in March I had no idea how..um..dark the book would be. Some parts were just plain ridiculous. Am I the only one out there that isn't obsessed with Mr. Grey?! It seems like everyone likes this book. I am not even sure if I will finish the series but I am definitely taking a break for now. I am a teeny bit curious because I hear the 2nd book goes more into why Christian Grey is the way he is but like I said, I need a break. LOL
So now I'm going to start reading...
I have heard good things so...here's hoping!

And in the words of Christian Grey...

  1. New follower of yours too. I'd have to agree with you about 50 Shades of Grey. Though I've never read a single book, I really have no desire to. Kinda believe that you become what you surround yourself by and well, not something I want to become. :)

    Have a good week!!
