Thanks for stopping by!  I’m Ashley.  I got engaged to the love of my life, Brian, on June 11, 2011 while on a Bahamas cruise celebrating our 5 year anniversary (more on that later...). We have two rescue dogs, Bella & Lola.

A little about me:

I finished my master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy in April.  I just got my first therapist position (YAY!!).  This day is a long time coming (more on that later).  I will be walking for my graduation on June 9th.

A little about my future husband:

Brian has a bachelor’s degree in Business Economics. He’s working in the family business as a lumberjack (not really but it sounds a lot more exciting, right?). He is the most amazing man I have ever met. He is my best friend and makes me laugh all the time.

A little about us:

Brian & I began dating on May 21, 2006. We met and worked together in 2003 and continued to cross paths for the next couple of years, even taking some college classes together.  Eventually the timing was right and we really connected. The problem? I was set to move to Oregon June 5, 2006.  We only had a few weeks but we made the most of them. The rest is history! As of May 21, 2012 we have been together for SIX AMAZING YEARS! I cannot wait to share more about our love story.

A little about our dogs:

Bella is our 5lb Chihuahua who will be 9 in December. Don’t tell her she’s small...she doesn’t know! Lola is our 50lb mutt who will be 3 in November! She’s a Lab mix but the older she’s gotten the more we’ve realized that the only thing Lab is her color (she’s a blondie!).  I plan to share how we ended up with Bella & Lola in the future.

This blog is a place for me to document my life with Brian, our dogs, what we’re cooking, what arts & crafts project I’m working on, what I’m reading and whatever random things life throws our way! I’ve been reading blogs pretty regularly for the last year or two and vowed to myself that I would one day create my own...when I had time...which will never happen so I’m making time! Now that I’m done with school I can no longer say I should be doing homework instead of creating a blog. I’m so excited!

One day I hope to look back on this blog and see how far Brian and I have come...and how far we still have to go.  I hope you will come along for our journey!
